8 Revolutionary Classic Cars from the 1950s through the 1970s (2 of 5)

 Fiat 124 Spider

How can you not love the way the Fiat 124 Spider looks? The chromed-out front and rear bumpers really set this one apart from the rest. Produced by the Italian automaker between 1966 and 1985, it should come as no surprise that it was one of the best-selling convertible sports cars during that span.

Ford Thunderbird

First unveiled at the 1954 Detroit Auto Show, the Thunderbird launched Ford into the sports car era as its answer to the Chevy Corvette. With more than 16,000 units sold the first year it was introduced, this one really knocked it out of the park. Its V8 engine produced an impressive 193 horsepower and was capable of reaching 150 mph, a speed only recommended if you had a death wish, as we’re talking about the 1950s here.
